PLAYER NOTES:
With under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, QB Kirk Cousins led the Vikings offense 56 yards and a completed a game-winning touchdown pass to WR K.J. Osborn. Cousins is 10th among active players in the NFL in game-winning drives (21).

Cousins completed 24-of-41 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns. He has now thrown for 33,351 career passing yards, surpassing QB Steve Young (33,124) for 39th on the all-time NFL passing yards list.

WR Adam Thielen tallied his 50th career receiving touchdown, tying Sammy White for career receiving touchdowns in franchise history and trails only Cris Carter, (110), Randy Moss (92) and Anthony Carter (52).

Thielen became the fourth undrafted player since 1967 with 50+ career touchdown receptions, joining Antonio Gates (116), Rod Smith (68) and Wes Welker (50).

WR K.J. Osborn caught his eighth receiving touchdown and finished the game with five receptions for 73 yards. Osborn has surpassed 70 receiving yards five times in his career.

RB Dalvin Cook tallied his 40th career rushing touchdown, tying Ted Brown for fourth all-time in franchise history for career rushing touchdowns.

It also marked his 36th rushing touchdown since 2019, the second-most in the NFL behind Derrick Henry’s 45.

Cook is now the fifth player in franchise history to surpass 5,000 career rushing yards and is fifth in all-time rushing yards (5,023).

S Josh Metellus notched his first career start at safety and recorded double-digit tackles, two passes defensed and one interception.

He became the first safety since S Camryn Bynum (11/7/21 vs. Baltimore) to tally 10-plus tackles and a pick in their first career start.

RB Alexander Mattison tallied a 6-yard touchdown run, which marked the seventh rushing touchdown in his career and fifth all-time against Detroit.

TE Ben Ellefson recorded his first career start and set a new career-high in receiving yards (24), including a career long 12-yard reception in the first quarter.

LB Jordan Hicks tied high career-high in tackles with 14, marking the third time in his career that he’s accomplished this feat. He has now recorded double-digit tackles in 23 games.
•
LB Eric Kendricks made his 99th career start passing LB Anthony Barr (98) and tallied 11 total tackles and two passes defensed. It is his 29th game with at least 10 tackles.
