Vikings Stunned By Lions

December 11, 2022 By kevin.falness@mnnradio.com

(Detroit, MI)  —  Jared Goff and Kirk Cousins each put up monster numbers but it was the Lions that surged past the Vikings 34-23.  Goff was 27 of 39 for 330 yards through the air and threw three T-D passes as the Lions thwarted the Vikings effort to clinch the N-F-C North.  The Vikings suffered the loss despite Cousins throwing for 425 yards – 223 of which went to Justin Jefferson, setting the franchise record on 11 catches.  The Vikings fall to 10-3 as their two game win streak is halted.  The Lions, who’ve won five of six, improve to 6-7.  The Vikings are home against the Colts next Saturday at noon with another chance to clinch the division with a win or tie.
