The Minnesota Vikings will become the first NFL team to play in back-to-back international games in different countries in 2025. Minnesota will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first-ever regular-season NFL game in Dublin, Ireland, at Croke Park on Sunday, Sept. 28. The team will then travel to London, England, to play the Cleveland Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 5. Both games will kick off at 8:30 a.m. CT.
The Vikings, who are 4-0 in regular-season international games, enter the 2025 season with the most international regular-season wins since 2005. They are one of two teams (Kansas City) to remain undefeated when playing internationally in the regular season since 2005 (minimum three games).
“Playing in Ireland’s first-ever NFL game is an opportunity to introduce new fans to the Minnesota Vikings and help the league continue to make the game of football more accessible globally,” said Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf. “To do so against a storied franchise like the Pittsburgh Steelers adds a unique challenge that makes this even more special. We are honored to be selected for this historic game and will be anxious to see what promises to be an electric game day environment in Croke Park.”
The Vikings have played in eight total international games – four exhibition and four regular season – and have a perfect 8-0 record, most recently facing the New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2024. Minnesota has played both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns in London games, defeating the Steelers at Wembley Stadium in 2013 and the Browns at Twickenham Stadium in 2017.
“Our experiences in London have always been memorable, so to return in 2025 as the first team to play in back-to-back international games in different countries was something we could not pass up,” said Wilf. “UK fans have a history of showing up and embracing the Minnesota Vikings, creating what often feels like a homefield environment, and we are hopeful that is what we see again in 2025.”
Participating in two of the NFL’s seven international games in 2025, the Ireland and London games will mark the fifth and sixth regular-season international games in Vikings history and will bring their total to four international games in the past four years. The Global Markets Program, which launched in January 2022, grants NFL clubs access to international markets for marketing, fan engagement and commercialization activations as part of an important, long-term strategic effort to enable clubs to build their brands globally while driving NFL fan growth beyond the United States. Currently, the Minnesota Vikings have international marketing rights in the United Kingdom and Canada.
