The Minnesota Vikings are underway at U.S. Bank Stadium in the first of a “Monday Night Football” doubleheader, taking on the New Orleans Saints. It marks the return of longtime Vikings running back Adrian Peterson to Minnesota. He signed with the Saints as a free agent after spending his first 10 seasons with Minnesota. The Saints started 0-and-3 last year on their way to finishing third in the NFC South at 7-and-9. The Vikings started 5-and-0 last season before losing eight of their final 11 games to finish third in the NFC North at 8-and-8. With quarterback Teddy Bridgewater still recovering from a knee injury from last preseason, Sam Bradford is back under center for Minnesota. He threw for nearly 39-hundred yards, 20 touchdowns and just five interceptions last season.
