Vice President Mike Pence and advisor-to-the-president Ivanka Trump are set to be in Minnesota today. The vice president and first daughter are in town for a “Cops for Trump” listening session. They will meet with community members whose businesses and lives have been negatively impacted by crime and violent extremism in the Minneapolis area. The visit comes just 40 days ahead of the November 3rd election. President Trump has promoted himself as a “law and order” commander in chief–and he’s hoping Minnesotans will embrace that message and vote red in a presidential election for the first time since 1972.
