Governor Tim Walz continues hammering Republicans in the Minnesota Senate, telling Service Employees International Union members at a rally late Tuesday, “Overwhelming wins in the House, to have a historic vote number for the governor, and to watch a whole bunch of people who weren’t up for election in the Senate say ‘no’ to everything. That’s not the way it works. That is not the way it works.”
Earlier in the day, Walz visited a dangerous rail crossing in Anoka to highlight his push for a gas tax increase. Republicans say with the economy slowing, the last thing Minnesotans need is billions of dollars in tax increases that Walz proposes. The governor responds investments are necessary to keep Minnesota’s economy moving.
