Governor Tim Walz said last Friday he expects to make a decision sometime the middle of this week on whether to extend his stay-at-home order and bar-and-restaurant closures past May 4th. Walz says, “I understand for folks that uncertainty in this time is like the worst, and that opens up space where the confusion or potentially rumors [happen]. We’re trying to get that out as quickly as possible.”
The governor did hint on Friday that easing bar and restaurant closures is probably less likely than any possible loosening of restrictions for single-family gatherings and houses of worship.
