It’s expected Governor-elect Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor-elect Peggy Flanagan this week will announce members of their “One Minnesota” Advisory Board that will assist them as they take the reins. Walz says, “It will include faith leaders. It will include C-E-O’s of Fortune 50 companies in this state. It will include teachers, and it will include entrepeneurs.”
Walz and Flanagan’s transition website, mn.gov/tim-walz, is taking comments from the public, requests for speaking engagements, and inquiries from those interested in working for the new administration. “It is time. We want to hear from you. We want folks to get involved. We want them to be part of this administration, and that’s the place,” says Lieutenant Governor-elect Flanagan.
Flanagan, who will chair the advisory board, says people from all over Minnesota will be included, “diverse voices who will be advising us on appointments that we’re making, will be advising us on how we’re gonna put together the state’s budget.” Governor-elect Walz says, “This idea of One Minnesota as we have said throughout this campaign is far more than just a campaign theme. It is a way of seeing the world and it’s a place to bring Minnesota to that, what we’ve always done, is very effective, functioning government.”)
