Walz Outlining Plan To Bring More Middle/High School Students Back

February 17, 2021 By Tasha Redel

Governor Tim Walz will outline his plan today (Wednesday 12 p-m) to bring more Minnesota middle- and high-school students back on campus.   Walz says “we’re further along in in-person learning than most places, and I think this is just the way to make sure that we don’t end up with an outbreak.”  House Deputy Republican Leader Anne Neu (NOO) Brindley says data show all Minnesota students can be back in the classroom right now.  The governor notes 85 percent of K-through-eight classes in Minnesota are currently in some form of in-person learning.  Minnesota’s largest district – Anoka Hennepin- welcomes all high school students back this week.
