Reopening bars, restaurants, salons and fitness centers in Minnesota by June 1st is *not* absolutely certain, Governor Tim Walz indicated at a news conference today. “What I’ve said is, we’ve got a week — ’til next Wednesday — to work with health groups, work with the hospitals, work with the businesses, and see if this is possible…. At any point in time if we don’t feel we can do this or the data doesn’t show right, we won’t do it,” the governor says.
Walz says there’s “certainly the possibility” bars, restaurants, salons and fitness centers could reopen June 1st with new precautions in place — but he adds, “it’s not a guarantee.”
