“There is going to be an extension around that, “Governor Tim Walz said today about his now one-week-old order closing bars and restaurants in Minnesota because of COVID-19. And for how long could that closure order continue? “Can’t be indefinite, but what I don’t want to set things up for is that, I can’t tell you that it’s going to be open on that date,” Walz said.
And on Minnesota’s closed schools, the governor reiterated today, “There may a point where it just makes sense to say, our children aren’t coming back this year [and] we’re gonna finish the best we can.”
The governor’s initial order requires schools remain closed through Friday.
