Governor Tim Walz said today he expects he’ll make a decision sometime the middle of next week on whether to extend the stay-at-home order and bar-and-restaurant closures past May 4th. “My pledge to Minnesotans is to continue to transparently show how we’re thinking through these things and then try and give as much lead time as possible,” he says.
The governor did hint that easing bar and restaurant closures is probably less likely than any possible loosening of restrictions for single-family gatherings and houses of worship.
