Governor Tim Walz says he’s *not* closing the door on Republicans’ “reinsurance” plan to hold down health insurance premiums, despite signals to the contrary in his revised budget plan. But Walz tells Republicans, “If I’m saying, let’s see where reinsurance is at, I want to hear back, okay, let’s see what we can do on transportation to meet you halfway. It has been no, no, no, no, no.”
Republican Senator Julie Rosen from Vernon Center responds about Walz’s plan for a gas tax increase: “To be honest, that’s a non-starter. That is not going anywhere, and it’s undeniable that reinsurance has worked.”
