Governor Tim Walz today unveils the early-stage plan for distributing COVID vaccines in Minnesota — and he says a bipartisan group of lawmakers will join him for the presentation. The governor says they’ll talk about “how we’re gonna vaccinate, who we’re gonna vaccinate, what that will look like, and kind of a preliminary timeline of how it will stretch over the next few months.”
The governor says Minnesotans will see a unified state on the vaccine rollout, but a number of groups are already jostling for priority. It’s expected health care workers and nursing homes will be first to receive the vaccination. First responders, teachers and some Republican lawmakers are asking to be the next in line.
