The war of words is further heating up between candidates for Minnesota attorney general with the election fast-approaching. Democrat Keith Ellison pointed to comments Republican opponent Doug Wardlow made at a Tea Party event in 2013, that the radical left has convinced too many that God is dead and “Our Constitution, our institutions, have fallen, because this second, unwritten Constitution has been all but destroyed.” A Wardlow spokesman responded Ellison and the D-F-L are desperately spreading misinformation — that Wardlow was referring to the basic concept that people should obey the law. Meanwhile a group of faith leaders accused Wardlow of sending out Islamophobic mailings. Wardlow responded Ellison refuses to condemn Lewis Farrakhan, who called homosexuality “filth” and interracial marriage “evil.”
