Minneapolis City Councilmember Abdi Warsame’s narrow election day victory stands after his opponent withdrew a challenge early on in today’s recount. The Star Tribune reports Mohamud Noor stopped the process when the recount showed he wasn’t making sufficient progress in three critical precincts in the Sixth Ward. The first count showed Warsame winning by only 239 votes.
