A Ramsey County judge is allowing Water Gremlin Company to resume production next Tuesday at its White Bear Township factory after approving a preliminary plan to control lead contamination, which caused the state to shut down that plant Monday. Officials cited tests showing children of some Water Gremlin employees have elevated levels of lead in their blood, which could cause brain damage and neurological problems. Water Gremlin and state officials are due back in court next Wednesday to present more comprehensive cleanup plans.
