The “We Fest” annual music festival in Detroit Lakes has been sold along with a number of other festivals nationwide for 10 million dollars to a subsidiary of Live Nation, the California-based events promoter and venue operator. Current owner, Connecticut-based Townsquare Media made the announcement Tuesday, confirming rumors that have been circulating for months. Townsquare C-E-O Bill Wilson says music festivals do not fit that company’s strategy. The 2019 We Fest was last week at Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes.
