News from the Minnesota State High School League:
Because of the weather forecast for Saturday, March 14, adjustments have been made to the start times for Games 3 and 4 of the Minnesota State High School League’s Girls Basketball State Tournament at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.
• The Class AA Championship Game will begin at 4:30 p.m., rather than the scheduled 6 p.m.
• The Class AAAA Championship Game will begin at 6:30 p.m., rather than the scheduled 8 p.m.
The schedule adjustment was made in partnership with the University of Minnesota to help ensure the safest and most manageable state tournament experience for teams, staff, and spectators to and from the event.
Here is a look at the Championship Saturday schedule (Williams Arena, Minneapolis):
• Noon — Class A Championship
• 2:00 p.m. — Class AAA Championship*
• 4:30 p.m. — Class AA Championship*
• 6:30 p.m. — Class AAAA Championship*
• * Games will begin at the scheduled time or 25 minutes after the completion of the previous game’s award ceremony.
Consolation finals and third-place games scheduled at Gangelhoff Center on the Concordia University (St. Paul) campus will be played as scheduled.
