The Minnesota Timberwolves are celebrating Women’s History Night presented by nVent on Wednesday, March 19 when the Wolves host the Pelicans.
Special programming for this year’s Women’s History Night will feature:
Women’s History Night Talent and Entertainment
Ashley Dubose will sing the national anthem. DuBose is a Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter known for her appearance on NBC’s The Voice. Her music spans R&B, pop, and acoustic soul. A St. Catherine University mathematics graduate, she released her debut album, Somethin’ More, the day after graduation. Named Best Female Vocalist by City Pages, her album BE YOU was highlighted as one of 2015’s best by the Star Tribune. Beyond music, DuBose is a mother of three, a real estate agent and developer, and a voice-over actress.
Halftime’s performance will feature Coco & Breezy. Coco and Breezy are producers and DJs and the stylish twins behind their multifaceted brand. Their musical journey was influenced by their family and grew into a deep passion for dance music culture. Post moving to New York to launch their eyewear company, Coco and Breezy submerged themselves into changing the face of dance music and what it means to be a technically accomplished Afro-Latina women DJs and producers.
DJ Sophia Eris will serve as the evening’s guest DJ. Eris is a DJ and emcee currently residing in Minneapolis. Born as a military brat, Eris moved through many different homes and influences. Musically, she has used her upbringing to cultivate her skills in the exact same way. Eris is now a DJ for the radio station Go 95.3 and also the touring DJ for Lizzo.
Women’s History Night Guest Chef | Chef Ann Ahmed
Chef Ann Ahmed’s love for cooking started at a very young age, working in the kitchen alongside her mother whenever she could. Ahmed lived in a Thai refugee camp until she was four, at which point her family was sponsored by her great uncle to come live with him in Minnesota, which has been home ever since. Chef Ahmed is the chef and owner of Gai Noi, Khaluna and Lat14 Asian Eatery and was recently named a semifinalist for Outstanding Chef 2025 by the James Beard Foundation. Her restaurant Lat14 Asian Eatery will be featured at Fhima’s Test Kitchen (Section 126).
FanDuel Sports Network interview with nVent Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Martha Bennett: tune in to ‘Wolves Live’ on FanDuel Sports Network at 6:30 p.m. CT to hear from Martha Bennett, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for nVent as she talks about nVent’s partnership with the Wolves and Lynx and the collaborative work in supporting women, including Women’s History Night.
Additionally, as part of the Timberwolves, Lynx and nVent partnership, Lynx Assistant Coach Lindsay Whalen and Minnesota United FC CEO Shari Ballard participated in a panel hosted by nVent’s Global Women’s Network in honor of International Women’s Day. As part of the Lynx Changemakers platform, Whalen and Ballard shared powerful insights and experiences as women in sports gleaned over the course of their incredible careers up to this point.
Timberwolves Artist Series x Hannah Anema Merchandise Collaboration
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition crewneck designed by artist Hannah Anema for the Timberwolves Artist Series , available exclusively in-arena at the Timberwolves Team Store (Section 136), a Fanatics Experience. Anema is an artist and fisheries specialist who sees the world through both science and creativity. Based in Minnesota, she spends her days working on the water and her nights bringing nature to life through oil painting, murals and design. Her art reflects the movement and energy of the outdoors, capturing the beauty of the landscapes she works in every day.
Anema’s Timberwolves Artist Series crewneck is a tribute to Minnesota’s wild beauty and the spirit of the game. It features wolves standing beneath a sky lit by the northern lights with the Minneapolis skyline rising behind them. Bold shapes and rich colors give the design depth and energy, blending strength, movement and connection.
Pack Gives Back Ticket Program
Through the Timberwolves and Lynx Pack Gives Back Ticket Program, tickets for the evening’s game will be distributed to organizations working to support and uplift young girls and women in the community, including A Mother’s Love Initiative, Girls on the Run Minnesota, OMART Women Supporting Women, Special Olympics MN, Tickets for Kids and Women’s Foundation of Minnesota.
