A federal jury in Saint Paul has found a North Dakota man guilty of threatening to murder a U-S district judge. Prosecutors say 65-year-old Robert Ivers of West Fargo made the threats after the federal judge ruled against him in a civil lawsuit, sending threatening letters and telling two attorneys the judge “stole my life from me” and “you don’t know the fifty different ways I planned to kill her.” Authorities say Ivers has a long history of using words to frighten and intimidate.
