Devan Dubnyk 38 saves
(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota goaltender Devan Dubnyk (DOOB-nik) may have played his best game of the season in blocking 38 shots in last night’s 2-1 home victory over the Los Angeles Kings. Dubnyk made several key stops late in the game to earn the win. Wild forward Mikko Koivu scored a second-period goal, which held up at the Xcel Energy Center. Erik Haula opened the scoring in the first for the Wild, who have won three in-a-row to move past Colorado for the final N-H-L Western Conference Wild Card spot. Tyler Toffoli (tuh-FOE-lee) scored the lone goal for L-A, which has lost two straight since a four-game winning streak. Jonathan Quick stopped 16 shots in defeat. Minnesota hosts Calgary tomorrow night.
