(Columbus, OH) — Marc Andre Fleury made 30 saves for his 73rd career shutout as the Wild stoned the Blue Jackets 2-0 in Columbus. Brandon Duhaime scored 3:01 into the contest and Kirill Kaprizov’s 34th of the season gave the Wild some breathing room and Fleury shut the door from there. The Wild have won four straight for the third time this season as they improve to 32-21-5. Impressive win considering a third of their starting defenseman were out. Jonas Brodin went on injured reserve with a lower body injury and Jon Merrill will miss the trip with illness. So Calen Addison got back in the line up plus Dakota Mermis got the call from Iowa. Marcus Foligno returned however after missing four games due to blocking a shot with his knee against the Panthers. The Wild will face the Blue Jackets again on Sunday in St. Paul at 1 P-M. First though, they’re in Toronto tonight for a 6 P-M puck drop against the Maple Leafs.
After the win, Dakota Mermis joined Joe O’Donnell on the Minnesota Wild Radio Network:
