(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Wild built up a five-goal lead as they cruised past the Chicago Blackhawks yesterday in the N-H-L’s Stadium Series at T-C-F Bank Stadium, 6-1. Playing outdoors in front of 50-thousands fans, the Wild scored twice in each period to put away Chicago. Former Golden Gopher Erik Haula posted a goal and two assists, as did Jason Pominville. Matt Dumba, Thomas Vanek, Nino Niederreiter, and Ryan Carter also scored for Minnesota. Devan Dubnyk stopped 31 shots in the Wild win. Patrick Kane posted his 35th goal of the season to prevent the shutout for the Blackhawks. They have lost four of their past six. Minnesota has won four straight and are 4-and-0 under interim head coach John Torchetti. The Wild host the Islanders tomorrow night at the Xcel Energy Center.
