(St. Paul, MN) — Edmonton star Connor McDavid scored the winning goal midway through the third period as the Oilers edged the Minnesota Wild last night in St. Paul, 2-1. Zach Parise scored the lone goal for Minnesota, which has lost two in-a-row since a four-game winning streak. Darcy Kuemper stopped 23 shots in defeat. Minnesota is now on the outside of the playoff chase, looking up at Colorado. The Avalanche have won two in a row to take a two-point advantage for the final N-H-L Western Conference Wild Card spot. The Wild begin a three-game road trip tomorrow in Montreal with a 6 P-M game.
