October 5, 2021 By kevin.falness@mnnradio.com

(St. Paul, MN)  —  The exhibition schedule continues tonight for the Minnesota Wild as they welcome in the St. Louis Blues.  The two teams opened the preseason in St. Louis last week and the Wild fell 6-2 at Enterprise Center.  This time they’ll meet in St. Paul where the Wild got their first win of the preseason on Monday night with a 3-1 win over Colorado.  In that one, Kirill Kaprizov had a three point night in his preseason debut to move the Wild to 1-2.  Preseason game number four is tonight at Xcel Energy Center and the puck drops at 7 P-M.

The Wild claimed former Golden Gopher Rem Pitlick off waivers on Tuesday.

The Minnesota Wild claimed forward Rem Pitlick off waivers from the Nashville Predators. Pitlick, 24, tallied two assists in 10 games with Nashville last season and recorded 10 points (8-2=10) in eight games with the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League. Pitlick played three seasons at the University of Minnesota (2016-19) and recorded 108 points (47-61=108) and 84 PIM in 112 games. His dad, Lance, was drafted by the Minnesota North Stars in the ninth round (180th overall) of the 1986 N-H-L Draft and played in 393 N-H-L games with the Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers (1994-2002). Pitlick was selected by Nashville in the third round (76th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft. He will wear sweater No. 16 with Minnesota.
