(St. Paul, MN) — The Wild used overtime to lock down their first victory as they beat the Canucks 4-3 in O-T to finish off the homestand. Kirill Kaprizov scored his fifth career overtime winner to secure the win. Kaprizov and Zuccarello each had three points in the win. Rookie defenseman Calen Addison had a pair of assists and now leads all NHL rookies in points. After the game he talked to Joe O’Donnell on the Minnesota Wild Radio Network:
Marc Andre Fleury made 23 saves as the Wild finished the season opening run at Xcel Energy Center at 1-3-0. The Canucks are the lone team in the N-H-L without a victory as they fall to 0-3-2 through five games. The Wild now begin a five game road trip on Saturday at noon in Boston followed by stops in Monteal, Ottawa, Detroit and Chicago to finish the month of October.
