SAINT PAUL, Minn. — John Gibson stopped 37 shots and Joseph Cramarossa scored as the Anaheim Ducks shut out the Minnesota Wild 1-0 on Tuesday.
Minnesota peppered the Anaheim net in all three periods, but was shut out at home for the second time this season. Gibson recorded his fourth shutout of the season while the Wild’s Devan Dubnyk made 22 saves.
Minnesota won the previous two meetings of the season versus the Ducks, but fell behind early and were frustrated by Gibson throughout. The Wild failed to score on five power plays, coming within an inch of scoring when a long-range slap shot by Christian Folin hit the inside of the right post, sailed through the crease and to the side boards.
