(St. Paul, MN) — The N-H-L Draft wasn’t the typically busy weekend for the Minnesota Wild as they only made three selections over the two days. They went into the draft with no picks in the first and second round and only five picks total. But after trading up a couple of times they ended up picking three big bodies to help them down the line. In the third round they selected 6’ 4” Swedish center Adam Andersson at 83rd overall. Then in the fourth round and 112th overall, they went with 6’ 4” forward Kayden Lemire from the Western Hockey League. Their final pick was 6’ 8” goaltender Filip Ruzica, also from the W-H-L. In other Wild news, Bill Guerin was awarded the Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year on Friday night during the first round of the Draft. N-H-L Free Agency opens on Wednesday as Guerin will be put to the test to fill out the holes in his line up.
