(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota wing Kevin Fiala scored his first career NHL hat trick and rookie Kirll Kaprizov (kuh-PREE-sov) added a pair of goals as the Wild blasted the Colorado Avalanche 8-3 last night in St. Paul. Fiala finished the night with four points, while Jared Spurgeon and Victor Rask each put up three points, helping halt a three-game losing streak to Colorado. The Wild improved to 14-4-0 on home ice, winning 12 of their last 13 at the Xcel Energy Center. Colorado lost in regulation for the first time since March 10th. The Avs were on a a 15-game point streak going 13-0-2 over that stretch. The Wild will visit St. Louis tomorrow night.
