The Minnesota re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Mike Reilly to a two-year, $1.45 million contract Monday.
The deal is worth $675,000 in 2017-18 and $775,000 in 2018-19, the team announced.
Reilly, 23, had one goal and two penalty minutes in 17 games with Minnesota in 2016-17. He added 30 points (five goals, 25 assists) and 48 penalty minutes in 57 games with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League last season.
The Chicago native recorded one goal, six assists and eight penalty minutes in 29 games with Minnesota in 2015-16, including his NHL debut on Jan. 9, 2016.
The 6-foot-2, 193-pound Reilly originally signed with Minnesota as a free agent on July 1, 2015.
