(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild are closing in on resuming their season as they return to the ice today at TRIA Rink in St. Paul. The Wild took yesterday off but now they have two days of work before heading to Denver for game number 59 of the season. Most of the Olympians are expected to be back although the status of the American gold medalists remains uncertain as the team has been invited to the White House for the State of the Union address later tonight by Donald Trump. There’s just 24 games left in the regular season and the Wild went into the Olympic break on a five game win streak. They’ll face the Avalanche on Thursday night in Denver and Friday night they’ll take on the Mammoth in Salt Lake City. Puck drops at 8 P-M both nights.
