(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild has signed forward Matt Boldy to a three-year, entry-level contract starting this season. He will begin his professional hockey career with the Iowa Wild in the American Hockey League. Boldy, 19, tallied 31 points in 22 games with Boston College this season. The sophomore led the Eagles in scoring, goals, assists, power-play points (9), power-play assists (7) and shots on goal (71). He ranked T-1st in the NCAA in shorthanded goals and T-11th in scoring and assists. Boldy was named a Hobey Baker Award Top Ten Finalist on March 17. Boldy was selected by Minnesota in the first round (12th overall) of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
