(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota center Charlie Coyle’s third period goal was the difference as the Wild clipped the Montreal Canadiens last night in St. Paul, 2-1. Jason Pominville opened the scoring for Minnesota with a first period tally before Coyle’s shot made it 2-0 in the third. Darcy Kuemper kicked aside 24 shots in the victory. The Wild are now off until Saturday. The team reassigned defenseman Mike Reilly of Chanhassen to A-H-L Iowa prior to last night’s victory. The 22-year-old former Gopher star has not played in an N-H-L game yet.
