(Denver, CO) — Colorado’s Mikko Rantanen scored four points as the Avalanche dominated the Minnesota Wild last night in Denver 5-1. The Avs top line of Rantanen, Nathan MacKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog combined for four goals and 10 points in a game that saw the Wild get out shot 55-20. Cam Talbot suffered the loss on 50 saves as Victor Rask got the only Wild goal on a power play in the second period. The setback stops the Wild winning streak at five but they’re still 12-3-1 in their last 16 overall. Colorado has won five straight and jumps ahead of Minnesota for second place in the West Division. The two teams meet again tomorrow in Denver at 2 P-M. Wild coach Dean Evason says his team will bounce back:
