(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild got 37 saves from goaltender Cam Talbot and blanked the St. Louis Blues 2-0 last night in St. Paul. Marcus Johansson started the scoring in the second, while Kirill Kaprizov added an insurance tally later in the period to make it 2-0. Talbot did the rest of the work in notching his second shutout of the season. Jordan Binnington made just nine saves for St. Louis in the first match up of the season between the two division rivals. The Wild have now won three straight games, eight of their ten overall and extended the franchise record home winning streak to 11 in a row. Talbot is also a perfect 7-0-0 at the Xcel Energy Center in eight starts this season with a 1.23 goals against average and a .956 save percentage. The Wild are off for the weekend and return to the ice Monday night in San Jose.
