Mikko Koivu scored in 2nd period

(Toronto, Ontario)  —  Minnesota forward Mikael Granlund (ME-kyle GRAN-lund) scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period as the Wild edged the Maple Leafs in Toronto last night, 2-1.  Mikko Koivu (MEE-koe KOY-voo) lit the lamp in the second for Minnesota, which picked up its third straight win. Devan Dubnyk (DOOB-nik) kicked aside 21 shots in the victory.  St. Paul native Jake Gardiner scored the lone goal for the Leafs, who have lost four in-a-row and eight of nine. Garret Sparks stopped 20 of the 22 shots he faced in defeat.  The Wild are at Buffalo tomorrow night.
