Will Governor-elect Walz and his family live in the official Governor’s Residence? (with AUDIO)

November 9, 2018 By Bill Werner

Since the era of Jesse Ventura it has not been a foregone conclusion, so Governor-elect Tim Walz and incoming First Lady Gwen Walz were asked if they and their two children plan to live in the Governor’s Residence:  “We would be honored and certainly privileged by the citizens of Minnesota to live in Saint Paul, to live in the Governor’s Residence,” says the governor-elect.  “I think our intention is to do that…. In full transparency, we just haven’t totally figured that piece out yet.”  Mrs. Walz says, “I think the point of the choice is whether we make that move in January, in the middle of the school term, or if we make that at the end of the school term.”

The Walz’s daughter and son, age 17 and 12, attend public school in Mankato.
