The American Bar Association has given the go-ahead for two well-known Minnesota law schools — William Mitchell and Hamline University’s law school — to merge with the new name Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Hamline University President, Doctor Fayneese (fay-NEESE) Miller, says with this merger “there is an opportunity for innovation in ways that most law schools aren’t thinking about yet.” Miller points to “distance learning” and the opportunity to provide more legal services to underrepresented and very rural areas of Minnesota.
