Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves today with a game-high 43 points on 15-of-31 shooting, including seven shots from deep, six rebounds, five assists and a game-high-tying three steals, marking his ninth 40+ point game of the season (19th career) and his fourth such game this season with 5+ rebounds and 5+ assists (eighth career).

• Edwards becomes the first player in franchise history to record 40+ points/7+ 3PM/5+ rebounds/5+ assists/3+ steals, the third player in NBA history aged 23 or younger and just the fourth player in the NBA this season to record such a state line.

• In knocking down seven threes in today’s contest, Edwards finishes the season with 320 three-pointers, the most made threes in the NBA this season, the most in a single season in franchise history and the seventh most in a single season in NBA history. Edwards is the first player in franchise history to lead the league in made three-pointers.

• Rudy Gobert finished the afternoon with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting, a game-high 17 rebounds and a game-high four blocks, marking his second consecutive and 36th double-double of the season (476th career) and his14th such game this season with multiple blocks (319th career). Gobert currently ranks 30th on the NBA’s all-time double-double list and 13th on the NBA’s all-time list when including games with multiple blocks.

• Today marked Gobert’s eighth 15+ point/15+ rebound game of the season (140th career) and his fifth such game in his last 10 outings. Gobert is averaging 18.8 points/ 14.8 rebounds/1.2 blocks per contest over his last 10 games (March 24 – April 13).

• Gobert finished the first half of tonight’s contest with 12 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, marking the fourth time this season he has recorded a double-double in a single half (72nd career) and the first such half this season with multiple blocks (23rd career). Gobert is one of only three active players in the NBA to record 20+ halves with 10+ points/10+ rebounds/2+ blocks (Andre Drummond: 41 halves, Anthony Davis 35 halves).

• Donte DiVincenzo added 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-8 from three, marking his 16th 15+ point game of the season (111th career) and his 12th such game as a reserve (37th career). Today also marked DiVincenzo’s 12th game of the season with 4+ made threes off the bench (30th career), becoming the eighth player in the NBA this season to record 12+ games with 4+ threes off the bench and tying teammate Naz Reid for the most such games on the team.

• DiVincenzo ended the first half with 11 points, marking his 24th half of the season scoring 10+ points (138th career).

Team Notes
• With today’s 116-105 win over the Jazz, the Timberwolves finish the 2024-25 campaign 49-33, marking the first time since the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons Minnesota posted back-to-back 49+ win season (56-26 in 2023-24). The Wolves 49-33 mark is the sixth best record in franchise history.

• The Wolves’ win clinches a spot in the NBA Playoffs for the fourth consecutive season and the 13th time in franchise history. Minnesota’s four straight trips to the playoffs mark the most consecutive playoff appearances for the franchise since making the playoffs eight consecutive seasons from 1996-97- 2003-04.

• Mike Conley, Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Julius Randle and Gobert started their 52nd game this season for the Wolves, marking the most starts in a season for a Timberwolves lineup since the 2006-07 season with the lineup of Mike James, Ricky Davis, Trenton Hassell, Kevin Garnett and Mark Blount started 54 games as a unit.

• Minnesota outscored Utah 62-44 in the paint in today’s win, marking the 12th game this season they scored 60+ points in the paint. Over the last 10 games, the Timberwolves are fourth in the NBA in points in the paint per game with 55.4 points per game.

• Led by Gobert’s game-high 17 rebounds, the Timberwolves grabbed 53 rebounds in today’s contest, marking the 17th time this season Minnesota has come away with 50+ rebounds. The Timberwolves finish the season 14-3 when gathering 50+ rebounds.

• 16 of the Wolves’ 53 rebounds were on the offensive end, marking the 17th game this season the Timberwolves grabbed 15+ offensive rebounds. In the month of April, Minnesota is ninth in the NBA in offensive rebounds per game with 12.4 per game.

• The Timberwolves converted those 16 offensive boards into 24 second chance points in this afternoon’s contest marking the18th time this season they posted 20+ second chance points. Minnesota finishes the season 14-4 when they accomplished this feat and finishes the regular season eighth in the NBA in second chance points per game with 15.0 ppg.

• After both making their 82nd appearances of the season in today’s game, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Jaden McDaniels became the first Timberwolves teammates to play in all 82 games in the same season since the 2017-18 season (Gibson, Jones, Towns, Wiggins). This is the 18th time in team history that multiple Wolves players have played in all 82 games.
