• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a team-high 40 points on 13-of-23 shooting, including 7-of-13 from deep, nine rebounds, six assists and two blocks, marking his second 40+ point career playoff game and the fourth 40+ point playoff game in franchise history. His 40 points are the most ever scored by a Timberwolves player in a Game 4 of a playoff series and the most points in a closeout game in franchise history.

• Tonight also marked Edwards’ first career playoff game with 40+ points/5+ rebounds/5+ assists, becoming the first player in franchise history to record such a game in the NBA Playoffs. At 22 years and 268 days old, Edwards becomes the ninth youngest player in NBA history to record such a game. He becomes just the 25th player in NBA Playoff history to record 40+ points/5+ rebounds/5+ assists/2+ blocks with only Tracy McGrady (21 years, 339 days), Russell Westbrook (22 years, 178 days) and Kevin Durant (22 years, 230 days) having done so at a younger age.
• Edwards’ seven threes in tonight’s win ties a franchise playoff record.

• Edwards scored 15 points in the third quarter and 16 points in the fourth quarter for a total of 31 points after intermission, breaking Sam Cassell’s club playoff record for most points in a half. Cassell tallied 30 in the 2nd half vs. Sacramento on May 4, 2004 at Target Center. In scoring 15+ points in the third and fourth quarters, Edwards has now recorded 15+ points in a single quarter six times in his playoff career, four of which have come during this series. Tonight marks the first time in his playoff career he has recorded multiple 15+ point quarters in a single game.
• In scoring 40+ points on the road, Edwards now owns the four highest road point totals in franchise playoff history.

• Karl-Anthony Towns finished the night with 28 points on 11-of-17 shooting, including 4-of-6 from three and 10 rebounds, marking his 14th career playoff double-double and his seventh career playoff 20+ point/10+ rebound game. His seven career playoff 20+ point/10+ rebound games rank second in franchise history (Kevin Garnett: 27 games). His 28 points are tied for the third most points in a closeout game in franchise history.
• With Edwards and Towns each scoring 25+ points, tonight marks the fourth time the duo has done so in a playoff game, surpassing Garnett and Troy Hudson for the most such playoff games in franchise history.
• Jaden McDaniels ended the night with 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line. Tonight marks McDaniels’ fourth career playoff game with 15+ points, two of which came in this series.
Team Notes
• With tonight’s win, the Timberwolves sweep the Suns, the first time in franchise history completing a four-game sweep and the first time winning a playoff series since 2004. It is the first four-game sweep in Minneapolis sport’s history.
• After trailing 61-56 at the half of tonight’s game, the Timberwolves came back to win, marking the first time in franchise history they have come back to win a playoff game on the road after trailing at halftime (1-21).
• The Timberwolves scored 120+ points for the third time in this series against the Suns, marking the first time in franchise history they scored 120+ points three times in a playoff series. Their 118.3 points per game average vs. the Suns are the most in any playoff series in franchise history.
• The Wolves 122 points in tonight’s win are the most in any Game 4 in franchise history and the third most in any playoff game in franchise history.
