Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a game-high 29 points, including a flawless 10-of-10 from the free throw line, a season-high 10 rebounds and a season-high three blocks, marking his 17th consecutive 20+ point game to start the season (208th career) and his third consecutive 25+ point game and his 11 such game of the season (151st career).
• Tonight marks the first time in his career Edwards finished a game with 25+ points/10+ rebounds while ended the game without a miss from the charity stripe (min. 10 FTA), becoming the eighth player to do so in franchise history and the first to do so since Karl-Anthony Towns (Feb. 17, 2021, vs. Indiana).
• Tonight also marks Edwards first 25+ point/10+ rebound game of the season (13th career), moving him into a tie with Tyrone Corbin for the seventh-most such games in franchise history. Edwards is the only guard in franchise history to record 10 or more such games.
• Edwards becomes just the 12th player in the NBA this season to record 25+ points/10+ rebounds/3+ blocks and joins Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the only other guard to do so. Tonight marked the third time in Edwards’ career that he finished such a stat line, one of only nine players in franchise history to do so and one of just seven players to record multiple such games in franchise history.
• Julius Randle ended the night with 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting and six rebounds, marking his sixth consecutive 20+ point game and 13th such game this season (308th career). This is the 12th time in Randle’s career that he’s had a streak of six or more games with 20+ points (first with Minnesota). From Nov. 26, 2023 – Jan. 3, 2024, he tallied a career-long streak of 19 consecutive games with 20+ points.
• Following tonight’s game, Randle has totaled 370 points, 112 rebounds and 70 assists so far this season, becoming the first player in franchise history to record 350+ points/110+ rebounds/70+ assists in his first 17 games with the team.
• With Edwards (29 points) and Randle (21 points) each scoring 20+ points, it marked the sixth consecutive game the duo has done so and the 13th game with each player scoring 20+ points this season, the most such games by any duo in the NBA this season.
• In 24:28 minutes of action off the bench, Rob Dillingham tallied 12 points, a career-high five rebounds and a career-high seven assists, becoming the second rookie in Timberwolves history to record 12+ points/5+ rebounds/7+ assists off the bench, joining Ricky Rubio who did so twice during the 2011-12 season (MR: Jan. 8, 2012, at Washington). Dillingham is the first rookie in the NBA this season to record that stat line off the bench.
• Naz Reid came off the bench to record 26:59 minutes of playing time, finishing with 19 points on 7-of-14, including 3-of-7 from deep, seven rebounds and a team-high two steals. Tonight marks Reid’s fifth 15+ point/5+ rebound game off the bench this season (42nd career). Reid has shot 50.0%+ in each of his 15+ point/5+ rebound games this season and has recorded 35 such games in his career, tied for the most such games in the NBA this season (Jonas Valančiūnas; Washington and Tari Eason; Houston) and the most such games in franchise history.

Team Notes
• The Timberwolves were active down low tonight, outscoring the Rockets 60-48 in the paint, marking the third time this season Minnesota outscored their foes in the painted area and the second time this season tallying 60+ paint points. The Wolves have now scored 60+ paint points 127 times in franchise history and 63 times in the Chris Finch era (Feb. 22, 2021).
• Minnesota outpaced Houston 22-12 in second chance points, marking the second time this season the Wolves scored 20+ second chance points. Their season-high for second chance points came on NBA Opening Night in Los Angeles against the Lakers when Minnesota scored 31 second chance points.
• The Wolves cleaned up the glass tonight, recording a season-high 52 rebounds, led by Rudy Gobert’s game-high 16 boards. It marks the first time this season the Timberwolves grabbed 50+ rebounds. Last season, Minnesota grabbed 50+ boards 14 times.
