Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves in a win tonight with a game-high-tying 26 points on 7-of-16 shooting, including 5-of-11 from deep four rebounds and a game-high-tying five assists. Tonight’s performance marks his fourth 25+ point outing of the season (192nd career).
• Edwards scored 16 of his game-high-tying 26 points in the second quarter after being held scoreless in the opening frame of tonight’s game. Tonight marks the second time in his career Edwards has been held scoreless in the first quarter and then scored 16+ points in the second quarter (Dec. 16, 2023 vs. Indiana – 18 points in second quarter). His 16 second quarter points also mark his third-highest scoring second quarter of his career (and his highest in a road game).
• With his five three-pointers tonight, Edwards has connected on 5+ triples in five career games against Sacramento, the third-most such games against the Kings since he entered the NBA in 2020-21.
• Rudy Gobert dominated in the post tonight, ending tonight’s game with 19 points on an efficient 9-of-10 from the field, a team-high 12 rebounds and a season-high five blocks. Tonight marked Gobert’s fourth double-double of the season (480th career) and his first 15+ point/10+ rebound/5+ block performance of the season (24th career) and his first since April 12, 2024 at Atlanta.

• Tonight marked Gobert’s sixth time as member of the Timberwolves (40th career) having a double-double while blocking five or more shots in a game, the third-most such games in team history. He joins Victor Wembanyama (3x) and Scottie Barnes (once) as the only players in the NBA this season to have a double-double with 5+ blocks.
