• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a game-high 41 points on 16-of-27 shooting, including five makes from deep, two rebounds, two assists and one steal, marking his seventh 40+ point game of the season (17th career). Edwards’ seven 40+ point games this season are the most such games in a single season in franchise history.

• Edwards scored 21 of his 41 points in the first quarter of tonight’s contest, marking his fourth 20+ point quarter of the season (ninth career). Edwards’ nine career 20+ point quarters are the most by any Timberwolves player since the 1996-97 season and his four 20+ point quarters this season are tied for the most such quarters in the NBA.

• At the 2:33 mark of the first quarter, Edwards knocked down his second of two free throws, giving him his 21st point of the night and the 8,711th point of his career (now at 8,731 points), moving him past Andrew Wiggins for third on the Timberwolves all-time scoring list.

• Jaden McDaniels ended the night with 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 2-of-3 from deep, a team-high 12 rebounds, a steal and a game-high two blocks, marking his12th 20+ point game of the season (28th career) and his 10th career double-double, all of which occurring this season. Tonight also marks McDaniels’ sixth career 20+ point/10+ rebound game, with all six have come since Feb. 1st.

• Since Feb. 1, McDaniels is averaging 17.9 points on 51.7% shooting, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game, all of which would equal career-highs over a full season.

• McDaniels ended the first half with 11 points and 10 rebounds, marking a new career-high for rebounds in a single half and the first time in his career he recorded a double-double in a single half. McDaniels joins Rudy Gobert as the only Wolves players to record a double-double in a single half this season (Jan. 18, 2025, at Cleveland: 15 points, 10 rebounds; first half).

• McDaniels grabbed seven rebounds in the second quarter, marking a new career-high for rebounds in a single quarter. His seven second quarter rebounds are the most rebounds in a single quarter by a Wolves player since Gobert pulled down eight boards in the first quarter against Milwaukee on Feb. 12, 2025.

• In making his 10th start of the season (200th career), Donte DiVincenzo ended the night with 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting, including three makes from beyond the three-point, a game-high seven assists and two steals, marking his 11th 10+ point/5+ assist game of the season (42nd career).

• In knocking down three shots from deep tonight, DiVincenzo has now made 2+ threes in 16 consecutive games, tied with Towns and Malik Beasley for the third-longest such streak in franchise history.

• DiVincenzo recorded all seven of his assists in the first half of tonight’s contest, tying a career-high for most assists in a single-half (3x, MR: March 4, 2025, vs. Philadelphia; second half).

Team Notes
• The Wolves 128-102 win over the Jazz, tonight marks their season-high eighth straight win. The Wolves eight-game winning streak marks the third-longest winning streak in team history and the team’s longest since the winning nine straight from March 27-April 14, 2004. The Timberwolves become the only team in the NBA this season with an undefeated record in the month of March.

• With tonight’s win, Head Coach Chris Finch reached his 200th win, becoming the second Timberwolves Head Coach since Flip Saunders to reach 200 wins. Finch now holds a record of 200-156 (.562) through 356 games coached in his Timberwolves career and his .562 winning percentage is the highest in franchise history.

• With tonight’s victory, Minnesota has reeled off eight-straight victories to start the month of March, tying for the longest winning streak to start a month in franchise history (eight straight to begin Jan. 2002). The Wolves’ season-high eight game win streak is the longest active winning streak in the NBA.

• Tonight’s victory also marked the Wolves’ 40th win of the season, becoming the ninth team to record 40+ wins so far this season. This marks the Wolves fourth consecutive 40+ win season, the second-longest streak in franchise history.

• The Timberwolves finished with 66 points in the paint in tonight’s contest. Minnesota’s 66 points in the paint ties for the second-highest total this season and the eighth time this season the Wolves have posted 60+ points in the paint, moving to 6-2 on the year when they have done so.

• Led by Naz Reid and Jaylen Clark’s game-high-tying three steals a piece, the Wolves came away with 14 steals in tonight’s contest, tying for the fourth most steals in a game for Minnesota this season. Tonight marks the 21st time this season the Wolves have gathered 10+ steals.

• The Timberwolves capitalized on 22 Jazz turnovers for 26 points. Tonight marks the 12th game this season the Wolves converted for 25+ points off turnovers. Minnesota moves to 10-2 this season when they have accomplished this. In the month of March, the Timberwolves rank sixth in the NBA in points off turnovers per game with 19.6.

• Led by DiVincenzo’s game-high seven assists, Minnesota handed out 30 assists in tonight’s win. Tonight’s contest marks the 14th time this season the Wolves have dished out 30+ assists. Minnesota moves to 10-4 when they have done so.
