Player Notes
• Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 29 points, six rebounds and seven assists, accounting for his fifth 20+points/5+ rebounds/5+assists game of the season (49th career). Towns connected on two three-pointers tonight, extending his career-long and franchise-long streak of games with at least one three-point shot made to 55 games.
• In 27:50 minutes of play, Ricky Rubio tallied 19 points and 12 assists, his second double-double of the season. This marks his 10th double-digit point performance of the season, fourth in the last five games. Tonight, he extended his franchise-high of 10+ points/10+ assists games to 85 games.
• With his second triple of the night, Rubio passed Rashad McCants for ninth on the Timberwolves All-Time three pointers list with 268.
• At the final buzzer, Anthony Edwards registered 29 points and four rebounds. He now leads the rookies in most 20+ point performances this season with 14. His 14 games with 20+ points tie Andrew Wiggins and Christian Laettner for most 20+ point performances through a Timberwolves rookie’s first 40 games.
• In 27:41minutes of action off the bench, Jaylen Nowell tallied his fourth straight double-digit effort (16th of the season) with 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Over his last four games, Nowell has connected on 14 triples.

Team Notes
• Minnesota connected on 11 shots from deep, their 32nd game of the season connecting on 10+ threes.
• Led by Rubio’s 12 assists, the Timberwolves dished out 28 assists, the 38th time this season with 20+ assists as a team.
• Minnesota registered 70 points in the first half, including 40 in the second quarter, the fourth time this season scoring 40+ points in the second quarter (24th time in team history). Tonight, marks second time this season the Timberwolves have scored 70+ in the first half this season (73, vs Indiana on Feb. 17).

Lakers Notes
• LeBron James tallied 25 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists, his 99th career triple-doubles. He now sits in fifth in NBA history for total triple-doubles.
