Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a team-high 31 points, knocking down five shots from deep to go along with eight rebounds and a team-high five assists, marking his third consecutive 30+ point game and his eighth such game of the season (100th career). Tonight also marked Edwards’ second 30+ point/5+ rebound/5+ assist game of the season (44th career).
• In recording his 100th career 30+ point game, Edwards became just the second player in franchise history to do so (Karl-Anthony Towns: 101 games) and at 24 years and 113 days old and playing in his 395th career game, he became the youngest and fastest player to reach 100 30+ point games in franchise history. Edwards also became the 17th player in NBA history to record 100 30+ point games before turning 25 years old.
• Tonight also marked Edwards’ third consecutive game with 30+ points and 5+ rebounds, the second longest active streak of such games in the NBA (Luka Dončić: four games), tied for the second longest such streak of his career and tied for the third longest such streak in franchise history.
• In knocking down five shots from deep, tonight marked Edwards’ third consecutive game with 5+ made threes and seventh such game of the season (79th career). Edwards is one of three players in the NBA this season to have seven or more games knocking down 5+ threes (Stephen Curry and James Harden: eight games).
• Terrence Shannon Jr finished the night with a season-high 18 points on a flawless 7-of-7 shooting, including 3-of-3 from deep, marking his first 15+ point game of the season (fourth career). Shannon Jr became one of four players in the NBA this season to record 15+ points and 3+ made threes without a miss from the field and the third player to do so third off the bench.
• Additionally, Shannon Jr became the fourth player in team history to record 15+ points with 3+ made threes without a miss, joining Jaden McDaniels (Jan. 30, 2022 vs. Utah: 22 points on 9-of-9 from the field, including 3-of-3 from three), Naz Reid (May 16, 2021 vs. Dallas: 17 points on 7-of-7 shooting from the field, including 3-of-3 from three) and Towns (Dec. 26, 2016 vs. Atlanta: 22 points on 8-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-3 from three), with Towns being the only Wolves player to do so as a starter.
