Player Notes
• Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a team-high and playoff-career-high 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including a playoff-career-high 5-of-8 from three, a team-high-tying six assists and two steals, marking his second career playoff game with 20+ points (May 8, 2025 vs. Golden State) and the first 20+ point/5+ assist playoff game of his career.

• Alexander-Walker becomes the first player in franchise playoff history to come off the bench and record 20+ points/5+ made threes/5+ assists/2+ steals.

• Tonight marks the first time in Alexander-Walkers’ career he has led his team in scoring in a playoff game, and he becomes just the third player in franchise history to come off the bench and lead the team in scoring in a playoff game. His 23 points are tied for the second most points scored by a player off the bench in franchise playoff history.

• Donte DiVincenzo recorded 28:20 minutes of action off the bench, ending the night with 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting, 5-of-8 from three and five assists, marking his first 20+ point game of the 2025 NBA Playoffs (sixth playoff career) and the first such game of his career off the bench.

• Alexander-Walker and DiVincenzo are the first pair of teammates in NBA history (regular or postseason) to each come off the bench and record 20+ points and 5+ made threes in the same game.

• Jaden McDaniels added 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including 3-of-6 from three, a game-high and playoff career-high-tying four steals and one block, notching his fourth 20+ point game of this year’s playoffs (ninth playoff career). McDaniels becomes just the fifth player in franchise playoff history to record multiple games with 4+ steals and the fifth player in franchise history to finish a playoff game with 4+ steals and at least one block and the first to do so since May 16, 2004 (Latrell Sprewell; five steals and one block at Sacramento).

• McDaniels scored 10 of his 12 points in the first quarter of tonight’s contest, marking his first 10+ point quarter of this year’s playoffs and tying his playoff-career-high for most points in a single quarter (May 22, 2024 vs. Dallas; second quarter).

• Anthony Edwards ended the night with 16 points and a team-high-tying six assists, marking his 14th game of this year’s playoffs with 15+ points (41st playoff career) and his 10th 15+ point/5+ assist game of this year’s playoffs (30th playoff career). Edwards’ 30 career playoff games with 15+ points and 5+ assists are the most in franchise playoff history.

• At the 10:18 mark of the third quarter, Edwards finished a contested layup, giving him six points on the night and 1,101 points in his postseason career (now at 1,111 points). At 23 years and 294 days, Edwards becomes the fourth youngest player in NBA Playoff history to reach 1,100+ points.

• Led by Alexander-Walker’s playoff career-high 23 points off the bench, the Wolves reserves outscored the Thunder reserves 64-27 in tonight’s contest, marking the second most bench points in a postseason game in Minnesota franchise history (May 24, 2025 vs. Oklahoma City; 66 bench points).

• Minnesota shot 51.2% (43-of-84) from the field tonight, including 43.9% (18-of-41) from three-point range. This marks the second consecutive and fifth game overall of this year’s playoffs that the Wolves shot both 50%+ from the field and 40%+ from beyond the arc. Minnesota has the second-most such games in the 2025 playoffs (Indiana Pacers; six games).

• Led by Alexander-Walker and Edwards, who each tallied a team-high six assists, the Timberwolves handed out 30 assists in tonight’s contest, marking the second consecutive and fourth game of these playoffs that the Timberwolves have dished out 30+ assists. It is the first time in franchise playoff history the Wolves have dished out 30+ assists in back-to-back playoff games.

• Minnesota scored a franchise playoff record 30 second chance points in tonight’s contest. In the 2025 Playoffs, Minnesota ranks third in the NBA in second chance points per game (16.8 second chance points per game).
