Player Notes
• Julius Randle led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a team-high 26 points on 9-of-18 shooting, eight rebounds, a team-high five assists and a block, marking his 10th 25+ point game of the season (173rd career), his sixth 25+ point/5+ rebound/5+ assist game of the season (80th career) and his third such game in the month of March.
• Tonight also marks Randle’s fifth game this season with 25+ points/5+ rebounds/5+ assists while shooting 50.0% or better from the field (54th career). Randle is the 30th player in the NBA this season to record 5+ such games and he is now one of 22 active players in the league to record 54+ such career games.
• Anthony Edwards ended the night with 25 points on 9-of-19 shooting, including 4-of-10 from three, six rebounds, four assists and a game-high-tying two blocks, notching his 42nd 25+ point game of the season (182nd career) and his 28th 25+ point/5+ rebound game of the season (124th career).
• Edwards’ 182 career 25+ point games are the third-most such games in franchise history and the fifth-most such games in NBA history by a player aged 23 or younger.

• Edwards scored 20 of his 25 points in the third quarter, marking his fifth 20+ point quarter of the season (10th career), the most such quarters in the NBA this season. Edwards’ 10 career 20+ point quarters are the most in franchise history since the 1996-97 season.
• Rudy Gobert was a force down low tonight, finishing with 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting, a season-high 25 rebounds, marking his fourth consecutive and 31st double-double of the season (471st career). Tonight marked Gobert’s first 15+ point/25+ rebound game of the season and the fourth of his career; his first since having 24 points and 28 rebounds at Golden State on March 14, 2021. His 25 rebounds are tied for the fourth-most by a Timberwolves player and the most since Karl-Anthony Towns had 27 rebounds on Jan. 12 , 2019 vs. New Orleans.
• In pulling down 25 rebounds, tonight marked Gobert’s second game this season with 20+ rebounds (34th career) and the sixth 20+ rebound game in a Wolves uniform. His 25 rebounds are the most he has recorded since notching his career-best 28 boards in Golden State on March 14, 2021.
• 15 of Gobert’s 25 rebounds came on the defensive end, the most defensive rebounds by a Wolves player this year, and 10 of his rebounds came on the offensive glass, marking the second time this season a Wolves player recorded 10+ offensive rebounds (Gobert: 11 offensive rebounds on Dec. 29 vs. San Antonio). Gobert joins Domantas Sabonis as the only other player in the NBA this season to record 10+ offensive rebounds and 15+ defensive rebounds in a game and he becomes just the second player in franchise history to do so (Kevin Love: 12 offensive rebounds and 19 defensive rebounds; Nov. 12, 2010, vs. New York).
• Gobert finished the first half with 11 points and 12 rebounds, marking the second time this season he tallied a double-double in a single half (70th career) and the 15th such half in a Timberwolves uniform. Gobert becomes the seventh player in the NBA to record 70+ double-doubles in a single half since the 2013-14 NBA season.
• This is now the third time this season Gobert has strung together four or more game with 10+ points/10+ rebounds with his season-long for such consecutive games being five (2x; MR: Feb. 1 – Feb. 8).
• Mike Conley added 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including 2-of-2 from deep and a steal, marking his eighth 15+ point game of the season (533rd career), and his second such game this season without a miss from the three-point line with at least two attempts(12th career). Conley becomes the 15th player in NBA history to record multiple games with 15+ points without a miss from beyond the three-point line (min two attempts).
• Conley recorded his steal at the 10:44 mark of the second quarter, marking his 76th steal of the season and his 1,600th career steal, becoming the 37th player in NBA history to record 1,600 steals and the sixth active player to reach the milestone.
Team Notes
• With tonight’s 123-104 win over the Pistons, the Timberwolves moved to 11-3 (.786) in the month of March, the best winning percentage in the month of March in team history. The 11 wins are the most wins in the month of March by the Wolves since the 1999-2000 season when the Wolves posted 12 wins.

• Minnesota held Detroit to 34-of-95 (35.8%) shooting from the field in tonight’s contest, marking the ninth time this season the Wolves have held an opponent to less than 40% shooting from the field. The Wolves move to 9-0 on the season when holding opponents below 40.0% from the field. In the Chris Finch era (Feb. 22, 2021-Present), the Timberwolves have recorded the most such games in the NBA.
• Led by Gobert’s season-high 25 rebounds, the Wolves pulled down a season-high-tying 59 boards in tonight’s contest (2x; MR: Feb. 5 vs. Chicago). This marks the 15th time this season Minnesota has gathered 50+ boards, moving to 12-3 on the season when doing so.
• 15 of the Timberwolves’ 59 boards came on the offensive glass, marking the 15th game this season they have gathered 15+ offensive rebounds. Minnesota is tied with Boston and Detroit for 11th in the NBA with most such games.
• The Timberwolves scored 23 fast break points on the night, marking the 15th game this season they have scored 20+ fast break points. In the month of March, Minnesota is averaging 16.1 fastbreak points per game, tied for the 10th most in the NBA.
