Timberwolves Notes
Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves today against the Mavericks, finishing with a team-high 26 points on 11-of-24 shooting, including 4-of-7 from deep, eight rebounds and five assists. Tonight marked Edwards’ 16th 25+ point game of the season (156th career) and his sixth 25+ point/5+ rebound/5+ assist game of the season (62nd career).
• Edwards’ 26 points in today’s Christmas Day game against Dallas ties the franchise-high for most points scored on Christmas Day (26, Karl-Anthony Towns at Oklahoma City in 2016).
• Tonight marked Edwards’ 20th game with 4+ threes this season, the most in the NBA and surpasses his total of 19 such games last season (also 19 games in 2022-23).
• Dallas native Julius Randle ended the game with 23 point on 6-of-15 shooting, including 3-of-5 from deep and 8-of-10 from the free throw line. Randle added a game-high-tying 10 rebounds and game-high and season-high eight assists, his third 20+ point/10+ rebound game of the season (155th career) and his first 20+ point/10+ rebound/5+ assist game of the season (65th career).
• Randle becomes the first Timberwolves player to tally a 20+ point/10+ rebound/5+ assist game on Christmas day and his 10 rebounds tie Towns (at L.A. Lakers in 2017) for the most rebounds in Wolves history on Christmas Day.
• With Edwards and Randle both tallying 20+ points in the same game, it marks the 16th game this season the duo scored 20+ each in the same game, second most in the NBA behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander/Jalen Williams (18).
• The Edwards and Randle duo each finished the game with 20+ points/5+ rebounds/5+ assists, marking the first Timberwolves duo to finish with that stat line since Edwards and Naz Reid did so on March 16 at Utah.
• Rudy Gobert notched his 13th double-double of the season, finishing today’s game with 14 points and 10 rebounds. His 10 boards are tied for the most rebounds by a Timberwolves player on Christmas Day (Towns in 2017).
• Gobert added two blocks on the night, marking his sixth 10+ point/10+ rebound/2+ block performance of the season (311th career). The Wolves are 6-1 this season when he tallies that stat line.
• With today’s win, Donte DiVincenzo moves to 7-1 on Christmas Day, while Mike Conley is now 2-0 and Gobert is 3-0.

Team Notes
• With today’s win over Dallas, the Timberwolves move to 2-1 all-time on Christmas Day.
• Dallas finished today’s game with 99 points, the first time the Wolves held the Mavericks under 100 in Dallas since March 30, 2018 (including the postseason). That was 12 straight games for the Mavericks with 100+ at home against the Wolves.
• Tonight marked the ninth time this season the Timberwolves have held an opponent to under 100 points, tied for the second-most such games in the NBA this season (Oklahoma City, 13).
• Minnesota has allowed 99.7 points per game since Thanksgiving (11 games), the best in the NBA and the only team under 102 points per game.
• The Timberwolves led 57-40 at halftime of today’s game. The +17 advantage was tied for the Wolves’ second-largest halftime lead against the Mavs all-time (only larger lead was Dec. 30, 2008 in Dallas, 62-40).
