Timberwolves Notes
Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a game-high 41 points on 11-of-25 shooting, including 5-of-12 from three, 14-of-15 from the free throw line, seven rebounds and six assists, marking his second consecutive and fourth 40+ point game this season (14th career). With his 14th career 40+ point game, Edwards passed Karl-Anthony Towns for the most 40+ point games in franchise history.

• Edwards becomes the third player in franchise history to record consecutive 40+ point games and the first to do so since Andrew Wiggins (Feb. 14 – Feb. 15, 2017). All three occasions of players scoring 40+ points in consecutive games came in back-to-back sets (Kevin Love: April 13 – April 14, 2014). Of the three instances of back-to-back 40+ point games in franchise history, Edwards’ 90 points are the most (Wiggins: 81 points, Love: 83 points).

• Edwards finished the night shooting 14-of-15 from the free throw line, marking his second consecutive and third game this season with 15+ free throw attempts (fifth career). After going 17-of-18 from the line last night, Edwards joins Love, Tony Campbell, and Christian Laettner as the only players in franchise history to record 33+ free throws in a two-game span. Edwards 31 made free throws are the most in franchise history over a two-game span, passing Love’s previous franchise record of 30.

• At the 3:47 mark of the fourth quarter, Edwards knocked down his fourth three of the night, giving him his 211th made three of the season (now 212) and his 1,000th made three of his career. Edwards is the first player in franchise history to record 1,000 career made threes and his 212 made threes this season are two shy of tying his own total from the 2022-23 season which ranks third in franchise history.

• After totaling 90 points, 11 three-pointers and 31 free throws over the last two days, Edwards becomes the first player in NBA history to tally 90+ points, 10+ threes and 30+ free throws over a two-day span (Opta STATS).

• Edwards’ 90 points over the last two days are tied for the most points over a two-game span in franchise history (Edwards: Jan. 4 – Jan. 6, 2025; Towns: March 14 – March 16, 2022).

• Naz Reid finished the night with 15 points, a game-high 11 rebounds, a team-high two steals and a team-high two blocks, marking his second consecutive and fourth double-double of the season (21st career). Tonight marks Reid’s first game of the season with 10+ points/10+ rebounds/2+ steals/2+ blocks (fourth career) and his first such game since March 16, 2024, at Utah (22 points, 12 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks).

• Rudy Gobert ended the night with 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting, 10 rebounds and a block, his fourth consecutive and 23rd double-double of the season (464th career). Tonight also marked Gobert’s 16th game of the season with 10+ points/10+ rebounds/1+ block, the 15th-most such games in NBA history since blocks became an official stat prior to the 1973-74 season.

• Mike Conley finished the night with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including a perfect 4-of-4 from three, five assists, one steal and one block, marking his third 15+ point/5+ assist game of the season (371st career) and his first such game of the season with at least one block and one steal (67th career).

• Conley joins John Stockton, Manu Ginóbili and LeBron James as the only players in NBA history aged 37 or older to record 15+ points/5+ assists/1+ steal/1+ block while shooting 100.0% from three (min. four 3PA).

• Jaylen Clark ended the night with a career-high 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including 4-of-6 from three, marking his first career game with 15+ points. Clark is the first rookie in franchise history to knock down 4+ threes in a game since Edwards did so vs. Dallas on May 16, 2021(five 3PM).
